So the cat trapping this morning was epic fail. We saw two cats that didn't look familiar so we set up three traps then went across the road to have breakfast. We were hoping that would give the cats enough time to go into the traps. The one was a torti that looked pregnant so we really wanted her, the other was a fluffy orange one that looked like one kitten we couldn't trap last summer. We came back and the torti was in one of the traps, the other two traps were empty. Great right? No, the torti was ear tipped. So we let her go, packed up the stuff and left. Checked another couple places where someone had traps, they were empty to so we shut the traps and put them away for the night seeing as the gates to this place closed at noon so any cats caught would be spending quite some time in the trap before anyone could get to it the next morning. Came upon a small gaggle of geese and their babies sitting on a lawn by the road. Too cute, but one adult goose was not happy with our car.
This has been a huge deal. The Globe and Mail printed a story about the Toronto Humane Society. People have been saying this stuff for years but it was shrugged off now it can't be shrugged off as some crazy person with a vendetta spreading lies. It's part one of a three part investigation.
