All about the marshmallow!

Marshmallow is such a freakin' lovebug! When its just you and him, if there are other cats or the dog, he gets a little crazy but if you can grab him he'll cuddle with you. I walked into his room this morning, a can of wet food and a plate for some chow time and call out his name he peeks his head around the corner of the cat tree and mews at me frantically "OMG You're back! Where were you?! I was all by myself, and bored and OMG food! I Love you!" It was too cute. He spent half an hour or more just laying in my lap, playing with me and nuzzling. This little guy is stealing my heart, he's awesome. No new pictures of him today but I got a video of him yesterday meeting Boone again. He's better then he was at at first and afterwards actually went up and sniffed him. I think he'll come along soon.

I'll get another update and pictures/video of Munch and Stabler later today that I took yesterday. I got one of those cat videos with birds and squirrels in it that is supposed to be all interesting to them.

What day is it now with them?

OK so long time to blog, yet again. Seriously I need a good kick in the pants over this. So Finn was adopted by a high school friend, which I think is awesome as I’ll get to hear how he’s doing and see pictures of him as he grows. She has another cat, Moo Moo, who of course is black and white.

There has been maybe one email asking about the other two boys, and that one was for Finn and Stabler. It’s slow, it’s summer I know, plus they aren’t exactly the right color, they’re mostly black with white, people have black cat syndrome. Oh well I’m more then happy to keep them here until their time comes to move onto their forever homes. The boys have also been up to no good and then Boone gets the blame! We thought it was Boone going into the garbage and spreading it everywhere, Boone who was making all the messes of toilet paper etc. But no, it was Stabler and Munch, little brats. Poor Booney, he didn’t seem to hurt over it of course but now we have to second guess who’s to blame not that we can punish them or anything since we find it well after its been done.

Munch has picked up this crazy new thing. I thought doing it once might teach him a lesson but no. A few weeks ago the boyfriend was in the bathroom, he hardly ever shuts the door properly if at all so Munch trotted right on it and jumped into the toilet while the boyfriend was going! Boyfriend yells, Munch runs for his life into the bedroom. I run over to see what happened he tells me and then I grab Munch who is now covered in urine and dripping it all over the carpet and whisk him into the kitchen sink where he gets a bath. Cats look so pathetic when they get went, he wasn’t a looker at all until he was nice and dry again. So you’d think he’d not do it again but he does unless the door is shut properly.

So while out the other day with boyfriend’s mom we stop by at the vet clinic to drop off a cat. While there we see this little fellow sitting all by himself in a HUGE cage. He was ready to go they just hadn’t found a foster home yet for him, so since I was down a kitten I agreed to take him home. He’s thus far ignored Stabler and Munch’s attempts to befriend him and just wants to hide, he’s very skittish any sound that he decides he doesn’t like and he runs for cover and won’t come out but will cry. He hates Boone with a passion, puffs up, spits, hisses, jumps, smacks. Poor Booney just wants another kitten to love and is quite put off by this act of hatred towards him. Little guy even turned on me at one point so I left him be.

This morning we both hear him crying painfully, and see his eyes peeking over the stairs to the basement staring at us. He finally creeps across the floor and we snag him from behind the couch. Once you have him in your arms, he starts purring but again any sound and he’s off like a bullet. So I decided to lock him into the spare room so I can watch that he’s eating and doing OK. Within a few moments he decides I’m the greatest person alive and is a giant cuddle bug I’ve been typing most of this with one hand as he demands I be stroking him. He also has a nasty habit of rolling in his litter box. Ew, no wonder he is stinky. He’s still crying but only if I ignore him. He was named Galen at the clinic however I’m not a fan of it and have had a recent obsession with wanting to name something marshmallow and here he comes along. So yes, the little boy is being called Marshmallow. He’s 6 weeks old so much more tiny than Stabler and Munch. He seems to be a little more open to them now as I’ve let the them into the room so he won’t be so lonely and dependent on me. Munch and Marshmallow are grooming each other in one basket.
